Description:
On discus: two figures seated on high-backed armchairs facing each other, with game board resting on their knees, the r. figure holding dice cup in r. hand.

Manufacture: Mould made.

Notes:
Cf. Allard Pierson, APM12325; (subject) Bailey, Via Gabina, 131; (shoulder) BMC III, Q1716.


Comments:
The figures may be playing duodecim scripta, a popular Roman predecessor of backgammon.
